Garden Route News
and Events
During March 2003, Sedgefield had an abundance of rain that caused a
whole lot of damage, water shortage (yes.. the pumping station was damaged),
electrical
power cuts and plenty of misery for those affected. The pictures below
show the contrast of the lagoon at its normal level, when the mouth is
open, and when the mouth was closed by a sand bar, almost 2 meters above
the flood level, compounded by torrential rains the preceding 3 days.
